About the TeacherThanks for visiting my page! My name is Mrs. Brittany Todd and I am part of the first grade team at Promise Road Elementary. I was lucky enough to marry the love of my life over the summer so my name has changed since last school year! My maiden name is Harnish and my married name is Todd. My husband and I enjoy traveling, playing in volleyball leagues, spending time with family and friends, and of course hanging out with our cat, Tiger! This year will be my second year teaching First Grade in Noblesville Community Schools, but will be my fifth year as a classroom teacher. Before I came to PRE I taught kindergarten for three years in Nappanee, IN where I fell in love with teaching the younger grades. It is truly my passion to instill a love of learning in young students and be a part of the immense growth that takes place within a primary classroom. I am blessed to be a part of such a wonderful school and I am thrilled to have your child in my class! I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us! It will be a year full of rich learning experiences for both your child and myself. If you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me! It is going to be a fabulous year. :) |
Background |
I grew up in Elkhart IN, and went to Concord High School. I then attended Ball State University (Chirp! Chirp!) and graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a minor in Interpersonal Relations in July of 2011. I completed my student teaching experience in Portland, IN in a third grade classroom in the spring of 2011.
After I graduated from Ball State University I became a paraprofessional in Elkhart, IN where I was able to work with students in grades k-4. I was then hired to teach kindergarten at Woodview Elementary in Nappanee, IN where I taught for 3 years. I moved to Indianapolis in 2015 and became a Promise Road Panther! :-) |
